Right now is an excitingtime for our Karate students....Many of the students are young and motivated to brings their skill set to the next level!! Last night Sempai Charlie pushed their limits with several different training exercises and drills!! Sempai Charlie will not only push you as a student but if you think you can outlast him...He is up for the challange!!!

Tonight Sempai Mike will be in Coniston then rushing over to Sudbury and Ron will be in the MMA class. Both of these guys put alot of time and effort into their classes and of course tonight is no different. Ask them all the questions you can.. They love the challanges!!

Thursday, as always, we have our hour of Karate training, then our hour of MMA training. This week, Semapi Charlie will be pushing the students limits again the first hour and if that wasn't enough, Leroy will keep the pressure going with an hour of Muay Thai!! You don't want ot miss classes Thursday Night! MMA guys, if you want a longer workout....show up early and attend some of the Karate class....everyone knows that our Karate is not the typical Karate training!!! (No blocking an imaginary opponent in front of a mirror for our guys!!!)

This upcoming weekend, we will be attending the Pat Cooligan Seminar hosted by Sudbury BJJ. The sessions will run Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 3 pm. No matter what your skill level is, you are guaranteed to learn some new techniques and refine old ones!!

Have fun and see everyone soon!!

Well the In-House BJJ Tournament was a huge success!!! Everybody had blast!! A huge thanks to Steve Joncas for host us all over at Sudbury BJJ and donating all the proceeds towards our mat fund!!! Another huge thanks to Big Tom who spent a "few" hours preparing score cards, bracket sheets, reviewing the IBJJF rules and refered many of the matches!! The guys from both clubs demonstrated alot class and respect towards eachother and aside from safety, the priorities of the tournament was simply FUN and learning!!! Alot of the boys were already asking when the next in house would be!!! Great Job guys!! I am proud to train and learn with all of you!!

There are several pictures already posted on the photographer's website....Check them out!!! There are some really cool shots!!!

If you are interested in getting a copy of all these fights, bring the ten bucks to Ron this week in class and we will deliver the money to Brian this weekend at the seminar. Thanks Brian...That is Awesome!!!

This week classes were buzy as per the norm! The students in Coniston were treated by another visit from Sempai Paul. Sempai Paul taught the class Wednesday night and he always brings alot of enthusiasm and attention to detail when he teaches. The students should take advantage of these learning opportunities and ask as many questions as possible. Sempai Paul loves the questions....Bring them on!!

The MMA class was no different wednesday night! Ron put on a clinic of techniques. Ron taught sweeps, escapes and submissions for just about every situation possible. I can always tell when there is a new technique shown because it seems everyone in class wants to pull it off on me!! LOL Awesome!!

Thursday night is like our Mixed Martial Arts Theme night!! Sempai Dean and Sempai Charlie taught the kid's class and wen through Kata and weaponry! All the kid's love the weapons!! Then Sempai Dean took all the adults throught the kata in the adult class. Sensei john then came in and work bunkai from kata and showed how to apply the technique in a fighting application. Then it was interesting to try and apply these techniques in a "live" situation.....next we will be applying these techniques on resistant opponents too!! Should be interesting. We finished the night with our MMA training!! Simply put....total exhaution in about 45 minutes!!!

This Saturday, we have our In-House tournament!! If you need more information you can contact John at

johncuca@hotmail.com

This event will be a blast!! plus we get to hang out with our buddies from Sudbury BJJ....Be there or be Square!! LOL

Hopefully, we will see everyone this weekend !!
