Our school is the only school in town to offer both a traditional curriculum and a modern curriculum.  This brings a unique perspective for the students as they can correlate the two training approaches and see how the theory behind traditional training reinforces modern concepts.

Can I keep my current rank from another style/school?

Some skills will definitely be transferable and other skills will have to be picked up here. When you come in to the dojo we can evaluate you over the course of a few classes and rank you according to where you fit into our curriculum.

Do you spar at your school?

Sparring is something that some students enjoy and other do not.  Again, our different programs cater to all students.
Our traditional program has pre-arranged sparring drills which allow students the comfort of knowing what techniques are going to be drilled.  The speed at which these techniques are drilled depends on the rank of the participants.
Our MMA program gives students plenty opportunity to spar with resistant opponents simulating real combat but in a controlled setting.

How long does it take to become a black belt?

A long time.  If this is a priority, there are several schools that can assist you with this goal in less than three years; unfortunately, we are not one of them.
